Likely wet for the race. QP has a front row surprise.

Whoa. The Crazy Frog qualified his CRT machine ahead of The Doctor and two other prototypes!

Duc on the front row!!!  Very exciting qualifying session with lots of guys in the running.  Definitely worth watching if you have the MotoGP pass.  Should be an entertaining race dry or wet.

Another disappointing outing for Rossi Sad

I really get the feeling that De Puniet could be competitive on a prototype if he just got his crashing under control.

The two front Spaniards' times were a second ahead of Nicky.

Home field advantage.   Smile

Well, that was fun.  Dovi bumps Nicky... Lorenzo bumps Dovi.  Rubbin' is racing, yes?   Bigsmile

Stoner has such incredible bike control.  How his tires last in a condition that he's still competitive by the end of the race is beyond me.

Good race!  That was Crutchlow drop kicking nudging Nicky wide  Wink

Amazing to see 4 bikes finish within a corner of each other in a GP race.

Good race, shaping up to be a good season, what happened to Ben? he must have had the cracked frame from Qatar or they slipped a 800 engine in there overnight

Fun race to watch. Stoner is an animal.

Just like Qatar there were a lot of corner exits that include very obviously rotating the bike with the throttle. And its almost never a progressive slide but more slide-hook up-slide-hook up. These bikes are looking more difficult to ride than any in the modern four stroke era.

Lol Yeah, I noticed that too. Kind of like The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Seems to work great for him. Smile

No question about it , his style goes against everything we know about racing . Dude looking that ugly and busy on the bike is not suppose to be fast , consistent and keep rubber side down .

Having said that when / if he ever cleans up his riding he could be regular podium contender , he does have that raw speed .

The first few laps, it looked like Ben could not find the race line with an invitation. Dang.

Yeah, that crossed my mind and stayed. Ya just never know before hand. Being at the top of SBK isn't a bad destiny.

Is he using the new soft carcass or the old hard ones from last year?  All the top guys (Stoner and Lorenzo and Pedrosa) were supposedly still using the hard tires.  If he made the switch I could see him being way off.  If he's on the old ones then I can't really explain it.

Ben may just not be cut out for MotoGP. High expectations and an increase in pressure to perform at a higher level has him un-glued. Sorry to say but he is running out of time. Super talented but his approach and riding style does not work there.

That could be a bit alarmist.  He's already shown he can win races, get podiums and pole position.  2 shitty races at the beginning of the does not end a career.

Don't know the issue at Jerez for Spies. One could speculate they gambled and lost on wet/dry set up. Shit chassis was the problem at Qatar. That video of the chatter on his bike looked like the frame was coming apart.
