Speaking of sizes, I went clothes shopping this weekend to downsize again.  I got a bit ambitious and tried on a pair of Levis straight cut jeans--holy crap!  The legs were too tight!  How the freakin'-A does someone fit into a the "skinny jeans"?  I went back to the Relaxed fit Levis.   Bigsmile

OTOH, I did buy a set of new business casual polor-type shirts in size medium labled "Modern Fit".  They fit slightly on the loose side of a muscle shirt and I was able to  fit into them nicely.  I likey.....   Thumbsup  I'm thinking this is the "traditional" Medium size used to be before America supersized.

I still have my XL size shirts and a few of my--embarassed to say--44" waist pants.  It's there to remind me.

I'm down 37lbs since I started, and people are noticing. Especially my face, it has slimmed down a lot. I haven't bought any new clothes yet, but my jeans are falling off so I'm using a belt (I hate wearing a belt!). When I got the belt out, I had to punch more holes in it because it was too big as well! I'm closing in on my 50lb goal. I might keep going after I get to that point.

I started trying to lose weight early in the year.  I've dropped about 13-15 pounds, but seem to have hit a plateau.  It might be time to go back to Weight Watchers.  Last time I went, I lost 35 pounds, but stopped going when I got over confident.  I gained it all back, then dropped the 15 pounds this year.

I went from 230 down to about 215-217 now.  I'd like to get down to 185-190.

Congrats!  Reward yourself by getting the right fitting clothes.  They don't notice at 20 lbs. but they will when you start pushing the weight loss into the 30's, and you downsize on the clothes.

Rogue - those pictures are stunning - Good Job!  Thumbsup Thanks to all for the pictures in v1.0 - very inspirational!

I'm working on my mind first as that is why I fail at keeping weight off. I have lost weight two times and not kept it off - and gain more than I lose.  Crazy

Something has to change in my head.

Thanks viffergyrl.  I draw inspiration from a lot of people, among them Jadziadax and Veefer.  When I see success like that it's hard to make excuses not to do the same.  I agree with you.  The mental part is the toughest.

I was lighter today than I've been in about 6 months.

It felt pretty good, especially since I ate far too much pizza over the weekend.

Stuck at 182.  Damn!

Riding my bicycle 4 times a week.  Limiting carb intake.  What else can I do?  I guess I can eliminate all processed carbs altogether, which I haven't done a good job of.  I love sandwiches.  10 more lbs. but it just seems like my body (or mind) won't let go of it.  Down to a 34" waist (will fit in a 33" but let's not get ahead of ourselves)   Lol  I'll be happy when I fit comfortably in a 32" waistline pants.

On Wednesday, we leave on our 4-day road trip.  I'm anxious about how this will affect my diet/exercise routine.  I would be glad if I can hold on to 182 lbs. by end of week.  I can if I tried hard enough.

I went partway on the clothes. I hit the neighborhood Goodwill store, got a pair of jeans that fit (38 waist- I was wearing a 42 and those were too small) and a pair of hiking shorts that are real thin material and will work well under my mesh riding pants. Found an awesome shirt for band gigs too, a size large, and it fits! No more 2x-3x for me. I spent 12 bucks at Goodwill- I'll probably use that as my interim clothing store until I'm down to where I want to be.

You can dooo it!  I'd say I'd race you to goal weight, but I only have 5.4 lbs to go. Any more and I have to buy clothes again.

New clothes really make a big difference when you want to see how far you've gone.  Going to Goodwill is always an excellent idea.  I haven't been shopping there for my interim clothes, because I've had trouble finding good quality work clothes that I like.

Rouge, that's an amazing loss. You look like a new person! The pics say it all. I wouldn't fret too much more about it if you can maintain that.
You've done well. Congrats.  Thumbsup

I idiotically started another thread about this since the original thread is gone with the wind.

I'm happy to report that I'm holding steady at 175, down from 205 this time last year.  Thumbsup

I still have some beer flab to lose, and that should come in time as I've decided to drastically reduce my alcohol intake to a couple drinks once a week,
instead of a couple +++ every night.  Thumbsup

You're on!  Lol

I'm bringing most of my own food during this road trip.  I'll order a healthy breakfast every day.  When I return, I will increase the tempo of my riding to blast that 10 lbs. hanging around my mid-section, which is totally annoying me.  Then cut down further on the processed carbs.

It's expensive to buy clothes huh?   Thumbsdown

Thanks!  But look at you!  205-175 is no easy feat.  That's the weight I want to get to give or take a few lbs.

It's time to walk the walk since Jadzia and Veefer posted their pictures in the V1 thread.

Here's me in 2006.  I had a feeling a looked like a Gorilla on my Firebolt and this picture just confirms that.    Probably at 240 lbs. in this picture.  It got up to 260 but what's 20 lbs. when you're up there!  My wife called my JR pants the "parachute pants".  She had a way with words.   Lol

Here's me today, Mother's Day 2012, 182 lbs.

Folks, I gotta break it to ya, he didn't lose any weight.

It's just the Pods that make him look slimmer in comparison!   Lol couch
