Really?!?  Is it really that difficult to just tighten the nuts/bolts that keep the toilet seat tightened?  I mean, I actually said something about it like 2 or 3 weeks ago.  That crapper is like sitting sideways on a unicycle the way it goes back and forth during paperwork finalization.  And the heart attack that ensues when it first happens and you swear you're going in is just not professional.  This is not a piece of equipment that should really need a lot of tool based maintenance.  Why would you NOT just use the nice nylon nuts or put some freakin blue stuff on there.  Lock it down and leave it!

Et tu, Brute?

I was hoping this would be rants from the maintenance guy instead.  I would like a refund on this thread.

Frankly, many of those nuts just won't stay tight....POS garbage.  I'd actually be afraid of tightening some of them because they'd just split and then be useless.

Worst pain I've ever experienced...

I  encountered the above "loose-seat" problem on a public toilet...when the seat slid sideways, my sack got caught between the bowl rim and the now-moving seat. I screamed like a banshee, threw up from the pain, and damn near passed out. I'll crap in a ditch and wipe with poison ivy now before I'd ever sit on a booby-trap seat again.    Crazy

Know why the seat is like that? Certain cultures are afraid to touch their asses to the seat and they squat over it with their feet on the seat. Its a huge problem here in So Cal in the manufacturing industry where a certain race is prevalent.

That's bullshit.

Having spent some time in Asia, I believe it.

Most international airports (except the US) have a "bombs away" stall in the airports for squatting.

I had something similar happen, but it pinched the edge of my helmet- it left a blood blister there.  I didn't know that could happen there.  That's one of those things that only has to happen once.  Crazy
