fantastico!

Todd from guzzitech adjusted the valves, set the TPS correctly, updated it with the latest 068 map (even though my bike was built 1/12) etc.
On my way home the EVAP cannister fell off...  I musta hit one of those bumps with wrenches sticking out of it.

Surging is gone.  Bike is awesome.  I am very happy.

My advice would be to chaeck the valve lash again at 5,000Km/3,000 miles. It may be completely un-neccessary but due to the early cam failures and my own experience with my bike I recommend an *extra* early check.

None of the 8V bikes I service has EVER suffered a tappet failure. Are the two connected? I don't know. But it seems like cheap insurance to me.

I've had the same problem with the canisters on all my bikes.  I don't know why manufacturers don't install those things more securely.  Bigok

I just had the first service done on mine as well.  Now if I can just stop travelling for work and ride the thing I'd be happy.

My son keeps emailing me pictures of it when I'm away, rubbing it in.

The Stelvio will be my first quattrovalvole after a couple of 2V motors.... given the history that is probably not a bad idea, and certainly easy enough to do.
