A guy in Memphis had a bunch of them placed in his front yard, some on the ground and some in trees, looking out at passing traffic....

Best Buy and other places will take them in for recycling so they don't end up in the land fill.


There may also be a electronics recycler in your city.


Will they pay me to recycle?  I know they'll be selling what I give them.


I doubt any company will pay for two busted monitors. Most of the one's that do pay are looking for corporations doing a technology refresh where they might get marketable units. I used one of these companies when I was an asset manager. It usually paid for the service of getting rid of the junk plus a bit back.

The ones that take individual items from consumers are usually setup just to scrap them for the raw materials. All you get is a good feeling that you did not contribute to a landfill.
