I'm going on Friday, never been there before. I plan on moving around throughout the day, but what's the best spots for spectating?

a) Turn 5
b) hill overlooking 7-8 (catch them coming out of 6) into the carousel (T9)
c) motorcycle-chicane of 10a into T11.

Siebkens in Elkhart Lake can tell many a story from the walls...

While the days of riders/crew over-imbibing and streaking through Siebkens may be past, the downtown EL evening show saturday night is still fun.

Make sure to give a gander to the supermoto track on the grounds nearby . . .

Road America is one of our oldest courses, and full of history - imagine Augie Pabst racing his Scarab, Kenny Roberts decking his knees . . . make sure to check out the pits . . . .

Enjoy yourself!

Take a mountain bike along. It's a big place.
My favorite memory there, was hearing the unlimited CanAm cars roaring up the long straight, long ago. Wow

I'm riding there 2-up with my wife. Wish I could take my DR, I'm sure it would be more maneuverable. We'll only be there on Friday. I'm really looking forward to going in the pits, probably more-so than watching the on-track action.

You can park the bike all over the place (bring a puck for the kickstand in the grass)... spectate, ride somewhere else around the track, park, spectate; repeat.

The top of the turn 5 bleachers at the very furthest end in the corner. Not only do you get to see one of the course's best passing corners, but you can also see the final corners before the front straight and just barely see the finish line. An added benefit is if you hang out there, and are hospitable, you can hang out with some really interesting people. Hung out there with Yvon Duhamel and Eslick's parents one year.

Yeah, I would have gone, but it was a long day already, and we were fighting a deadline. Had a ball, BTW. Thanks for the tips!
