DPS in Texas uses them, wish our agency did too. I hand wrote two citations yesterday, it didn't kill me. The best part is stopping speeders then taking your time to write the ticket. I know if I ever get stopped for speeding I'd hope for a warning but if a citation comes from it it would be printed and I'd be on my way in a jiff instead of waiting for the ham-fisted, public schooled cop to write it all out.

When you receive a ticket in the mail take it to court and demand to meet your accuser. Photo cameras won't ever show up. I believe red light cameras and such are illegal. The problem is they're installed because so many people run red lights.
