I wish. My exhaust fell off and I ran over it right at the apex of T1. Still a bit whiplashed from the tumble but was able to make it and lead a good bit of the following race on the other bike.
Can someone please tell me how to embed a stupid youtube video?

I'm glad you were OK. How'd the bike hold up? Did it slide or tumble in the kitty litter out of 1?
Nice lines through wagon wheel and on to 9, by the way!

I tumbled a couple times til I could get my arms spread out and slide. Worked well too, popped up still moving and didn't fall back down! lol
The bike slid on the right side. Needs a new clutch cover (looks like a dzus fastener impaled itself), cosmetic bodywork repairs, dented tank, clipon bar, right rear set, and right exhaust midpipe.
You like that move? I call it the 8/9'ing pass. Got two different experts there. Unfortunately I have been struggling to get both bikes turned around 7 this year for some reason.

Great holeshot! I was thinking when we were lined up at the start that the outside might be a good place to go. A couple of good setups and passes also.
I'm guessing the front end tucked. Not surprising considering the pavement.
Glad you're okay though. Live and learn. Live and learn.

Lost the rear when the exhaust fell off and underneath the rear wheel. Pavement in T1 isn't too bad, T3 is very bumpy and challenging for suspension setup.
I actually prefer the inside line on the grid. Unfortunately I forgot to turn the camera on for the start of a couple races. Starting from the back row of every race allowed some great starting practice.
I've never done Summit in the rain actually. Been there at least 20 times and every day was sunny. I did nearly hit a deer and groundhog this weekend at 120+ mph.

Turn 9? That's where he is normally. I've missed him once and seen him a few other times there.

My very first track day was at Summit last Memorial Day weekend. Midway through the day, there was a momma groundhog and two babies chilling on the leftside of the track down through the chute (the line is on the right, so they were outta the way). Very unnerving for this noob. All I could think of for the rest of the session was "OMG, what would I do if they were in my line?!" Not that it would have mattered since I'm pretty sure I was going around the track at 30mph
Hotbrakes, I think you should chop the video where the groundhog runs in front of you on the straight and post that.

You were looking good out there!
All I can say is "Ouch!" on the T1 crash. That looked pretty violent. Glad you came out mostly unscathed.

Sounds like you did a good job managing what your body was doing to prevent serious injury.
I really wish Honda made a twin cylinder race rep again.

Everything seems to slow down when I hit the ground. I always try to stay relaxed other than the necessary physical exertion required to ride. I guess my brain stays calm. Tumbles, walls, and high sides and three things I do not want to do.
I wish they made a V5 for the public...
