IYO for those that have been there, is it at the least a World Superbike quality track? (maybe Moto-GP even?)
Indy is a awesome facility and I really enjoyed the Moto-GP but I
would have a better time in a less metro type environment.
I would love to see a World Superbike race, Road America is half the distance than Miller, a distance I can get the time off work to attend.
Road America is a fantastic , old school high speed track . 4 miles . Bikes reach close to Vmax in three places in the track .
There are hardly any flat sections , roller coaster ride most of the lap . It is huge fun on powerful machine like 1000cc 4 cylinders and such , but on something with less steam those WOT sections take looooooooong time .
One year I rode aircooled Buell , I could almost take a nap on some parts of the track .
As far as WSB or MotoGp it is not gonna happen in current configuration , as I understand there is an issue with ambulance in certain parts ( it would take too long to get there ) and the run to the Canada Corner is very , very hairy in the wet .
They literately would have to move the mountain in order for the track to pass international specs , whatever they are .
Compared to Indy RA is a spectator dream , you can take the bike to the infield , if visiting by the car bicycle is pretty much mandatory . It is a huge place .
