Carpooled to a work meeting in southern Deschutes County.  While returning on US 97 a northbound Suzuki goes by our truck.  Fellow in our truck looks out the window and comments "geez, I've never seen a guy wear those before."

I then look, expecting to see sneakers.  Nope, the rider was wearing those "foot gloves" that let you run semi-barefoot.  OK, that's a first for me.  EEK!

They allow one to feel the shift lever much better than any motorcycle boot.   Lol

They are incredibly comfy to wear, though I do not think I would like to ride in them.

I pack a pair when moto-camping on the WR, they take almost no space, weigh next to nothing and are surprisingly comfy.  Work ok for camp shoes or alternative to big boot blister fest if forced to hike it out of the boonies EEK!

I run in them as well, the whole idea is minamalist footware simulates being barefoot with the bear minimum of protection.  Hence riding in them is a shade above going barefoot.  I can't imagen riding in them!  The are lite, pack well and they do make for a great post ride shoe.

Well, you do live in Oregon. The place that made sandals with sweat socks famous.

You're thinking of western Oregon.  Eastern Oregon (where SageRat resides) is actually a suburb of Idaho.
