This stuff was Maxia Racing full synthetic? Maxima? It's still in my top case - bought it over lunch.  Blew my mind.  So much for saving cash by doing it myself.

Mobil 1 15w-50 has started coming back to various Walmart stores.  It isn't available at my home town store, but is available at one in a neighboring town where my daughter does gymnastics.  It's $26.xx for a 5 quart jug.  Get on the website and search for the oil, then click to find a store near you that carries it if your store doesn't.

That's good news.

In any event, it was about time for the change. Old stuff (from the end of last season before storage for winter) was far from clear.  Usually do it the week I pull the bikes out of storage, but this year I put a few miles on it with the 'storage' oil.

This morning's commute was a bit more smooth shifting, felt like faster spinning motor, and all was great.  Don't know if it's just because I changed the oil, or because of these 'Esters' but I also cleaned and lubed the chain which was overdue (didn't do it after the last rain storm I rode through...)

Either way, despite the cash, always glad when I change the oil.  So easy to do on the Sprint and it keeps the bike happy.  Will be stocking up on oil form Walmart if I can find the Mobil 1 locally.  Oil doesn't go bad on the shelf, does it?

No, indefinite shelf life if stored out of sun light.  After a few years mix it well before using a partial quart.

From my dealer it is $12.25/quart for Castrol Power RS R4 4T SAE 10W-50.

I recently bought a quart of Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w-40 at Wal Mart for just under $10.

I usually go to the one by Golf and Milwaukee, but I'll cruise by your place on the way to the one in Wheeling.  Better selection there?
