Gas prices?

OK, i'm a pretty smart guy.
Actually, I'm dumber than a box of fucking rocks which is why i'm having trouble figuring why gas prices are plummeting, which is in direct contradiction to what was predicted this past spring. Furthermore, prices dropped Memorial Weekend which totally defies logic.
What the hell is going on?

Ummm, the price of oil has dropped recently, I think to about $88bbl, so gas has gone down too. ;)

Around here gas was about $3.30/gal midweek before Memorial day, then was up to $3.65 for the holiday weekend. Now its back to about $3.50.
