All I know is that I paid $2.99 the other day in Harrisonburg, Va.

In Calif, regular unleaded is still $4.00 - $4.10/gallon.

Here in Baja Calif, Mexico, regular unleaded is around $2.75/gallon.

Well, a few weeks ago when heading up 395 in eastern California, gas was $5.50 a gallon for regular.

There are places on remote sections of the coast or the Eastern Sierra that always have very high prices because of the location.

Big Sur on CA-1 is, of course, one of those as well.
DogBoy:
I would call that a remote section of the coast.
