"Nothing succeeds like success." There is no debating the roaring success of the Non-Meets at Laguna. It takes a special group of people to make this Non-Meet work year after year and everyone involved deserves an attaboy.  Bigok

It looks like I'll be attending the race this year and I welcome anyone else going to the races this year to chime in and be a part of not organizing the Non-Meet. Show of hands?

If I go to the races but don't attend the non-meet, that means I'm in. Right? What if I don't go to the races? To keep the Universe in balance do I have to attend?

I will not attend and therefore, look forward to not meeting any of you.

Wish I'd been here in '06, '07 & '08. Probably passed some of you either on foot or on my bike. Sadly that is out of the question for me for the foreseeable future.  Sad

Laguna Seca on my /5 is near the top of my bucket list. Along with IoM, LeMans, Nurburgring.... Lol

Too bad nobody ever takes pics.

Old ST.n adage: "Without pics, it never happened".

Therefore, no pictures proves that the NON-meet DID, in fact, take place.  Headscratch

Is that going to cause a rift in the time-space continuum now that I've figured that out?

Everyone is chomping at the bit to not meet. This could be the best non-meet ever.

You're looking a little wide coming out of turn 5.  Wink

Hey, the exit if 5 is slightly off camber. All the MotoGP guys are on the curb on the exit.  Lol

Seriously: For any noobs, Turn five is a great place to watch practice. You can get pretty close to the entry (just under the bridge) and the exit either inside or outside of the track without being blocked by signage. There is very hard braking on the entrance from from the full throttle kink between 4 and 5. There is a bump that appears to be just inches off line and the exit it up hill towards the all important Turn 6. I recommend watching at least one session from Turn 5 because it really gives you an idea of who is using how much traction control and who is pushing the hardest.

+1

If you stand against the fence on the shopping mall side at the entry to T5 it seems as if you could reach out and touch the bikes as they go by hard on the brakes. It's a close_up display of various riding styles, i.e. body positioning on the bike and how the riders move around on their machines.

Thanks for the tips guys, but we're totally not going to be there or meet any STN'rs. We're also not going to be taking our time up & back to enjoy the surrounding areas.

Wouldn't mind not saying Hi to some peeps and not grabbing food or stuff with you inmates.

My trip to Laguna fell apart so I'll be not meeting anyone in no way, shape or form. However, this frees me up to attend the Sacramento Mile where I can schedule a parallel ST.N non-meet. If I play my cards right, I can not meet anyone at two world class races on the same weekend.  Thumbsup  I dare anyone to match that.
