I wonder if Suzuki is going to field a MotoGP team next year with Ben? I've seen spy photos of a Suzuki GP bike testing recently.

WHOA!
I wonder how much influence mom had with Ben's decision?
IMO - except for the money, going back to WSB might not be the worst decision he'll make. (in the long run)
crashtech, I'm thinking you might be right, but I'm hoping your wrong......

Spies is most assuredly out and much like Rossi, Crutch's teammate is outperforming him thus far.  Im going with AD as the favorite for Yamaka seat.

When I said I thought Crutchlow was a shoe-in for Spies' seat, I was thinking he had some DNFs this year as was still just trailing Dovi in points.  I checked and was wrong.  I suppose all of his get offs made me think that he didn't finish.  He simply got back on the bike and still ran to a respectable finish.  It's pretty impressive to see he's just trailing Dovi in points.

So the question is, will Dovizioso or Crutchlow move up from the factory supported bike to the factory team like Ben did?

I believe they are shooting for '14.  Perhaps Benny will take a year off, race with his pedal bike team and help develop the Zook?

That decision may be teetering on the results of these next two stateside races.  And dont count Rossi out of the Yammie equation.   Bigsmile

Ben leaving certainly makes things interesting.  I still see Cal getting the seat as he's been with Yamaha from early on.  Plus, Dovi already had a chance on a factory bike.

Time will tell.  I'm looking forward to this weekend.  I love Laguna Seca.

Ben has just signed a two year deal to race WSBK for BMW, according to the SBK news feed.

Ben/Marco- will it be like Ben/Mat used to be?

 Bigok

WSBK has been more entertaining to watch anyhow.  At least I'll have a Yank to cheer for each race.

gah.   I really wish WSBK would provide a subscription service like MotoGP does.  The main reason I'm a captivated MotoGP fan is due to the incredible online subscription service.

Leon being pushed out at BMW..??

I like Leon a lot, but I think Marco is showing that the bike is fine and that it's Leon that is now the struggling element in the equation.

I wouldn't say he's being pushed out but with BMW not fielding a factory team next season there aren't enough spots for everyone.  As much as I like Leon he's not a better rider than Ben or Marco.

Based on what he said on Windtunnel Sunday night and what has came out of Laguna today it looks like Nicky will be on the Duc for at least one more year....
