Question: Who hopes Kawasaki will upgrade the C-14 to the ZX14r engine in the future?
Who wants the upgrade?
Who does NOT want the upgrade?
Who is afraid of more power?
Would you be willing to pay more money for the engine upgrade to about 175 HP?

What's with all the out of context "catch phrases" in all your posts?

some people don't have much imagination..... using other well known phrases makes it easier....   Lol

I have a 2011 C14 and use it for touring, the bike is awesome. I had a 2006 Wing, it was a great ride but I wanted to get a bike that was had better handling and a weighed a whole lot less. The C-14 fits my needs and I don't need more power, what I need is cruise control and maybe a heated seat for the cool mornings on the west coast.

I can see the OP's point.  I'd for the ZX motor.  Fuel economy would come with maps and a retune (I hate the word detune - you're not losing power - your shift it to make it more useable).  Tooling costs might be a wash as they are already set up to make the motors for the ZX's... just different cams and new maps on the ZX's ECU.

I don't know all the ins and outs, but seems like a easy choice.

That being said, I don't care that much either way - I still want one.
