Anyone have a review or opinion of the Bell EVO Revolver modular helmet? This was supposedly an upgrade of the Revolver.

I have one. The couple additions are very welcome, especially the chin curtain. It is still an entry level modular, so if you are used to Nolan or something of that level you will be disappointed, but I am very happy with mine for the price. Have one for myself and my fiancee.

I was hoping to like this helmet, tried on a bunch of modulars at Americade to replace my AGV Miglia. The Bell Evo had lots of bells and whistles, price was good, and got some good reviews. The deal was lost as soon as I put it on my head though - it was a lousy fit for me and pretty uncomfortable even in the few minutes I walked around with it on.
Loved the fit/feel/features of the HJC SyMax III, which can be had for a touch over $200.

This is not the flip up Bell helmet that is going for $80-100 on closeout everywhere? Thought about picking one of those up just based on price.

Thanks for the reply. What you are saying is exactly what I'm worried about. The Symax III is where I'm likely heading. Where are you finding them for just over $200? In my area theye are $250 - 300

The EVO is the "upgrade" of the original Revolver which I believe is the one you are refering too.

You're worried about this helmet not fitting because it didn't fit someone elses head?

If you find the Hi-Viz "regular" Revolver on closeout, it is the same as the Evo. The Hi-Viz was a late production run, and has all the features of the Evo. I compared it to a co-workers original Rally Revolver.

Are you positive? If so, I may pick one up as a blind purchase.

I tried on the a hi-viz one not an hour ago (my dealer is beside my dentist). I tried on the original one and it was a total fail for wearing it with glasses. Ended up leaving with an RS1 that fits my better than any other helmet I've ever owned (35 years worth!).
Anyway, tried it on. Feels cheap, the shape doesn't fit my head nicely at all, but the capper; the chin piece smacks me in the face when I lower it. I never even got to the point of trying it with my glasses.
Pass.

The fit was terrible for me, so I passed. Ended up with a Bell Vortex, same size, much better fit

i can't wear a nolan, the chin hits me in the schnoz (i don't think i have a big nose, either!), but plenty of people seem to love their nolans.

Based on the video reviews and comparing to my co-workers helmet mine is definitely the EVO. It has an August 2011 build date. When my co-worker called them to ask about why mine had a chin curtain and his didn't (the most obvious difference) they told him it was becasue the hi-viz was built at a later date. I can only assume that all of them were later. If it makes you more confident I did also get mine from Motorcycle Superstore, both a small and medium.

I thought the same thing about my glasses, but the padding has broken in and I don't have any problems. The sun visor also clears without issue.

I have one of the Hi-Viz Revolvers in XL purchased just before the EVO came to market. I wore it twice and put it back in the box. Just did not fit correctly despite feeling good in the store. Anyone who wants it shoot me a PM and I will make you a deal on it. I have been meaning to put it up for sale here.
