Trying to get some extra tire life out of the front of that C14?  Lol  It's never going to touch the ground with that sail on the back.  Why not pack the stuff on top the top box on the back seat?  It will also make for a nice back rest on day 1.

I know you have met the man. The wind will never get near the stuff on the top case.

Semi Tractor Trailers will suffer buffeting behind HIM.

Safe travels.

So I was thinking f**k it I am buying a gopro camera for the trip and low and behold, Zack solves a 1st world problem.  I am telling him that I am going to buy a gopro tomarrow.  He looks at me stupidly and said dad both of our phones video tape in 1080p, so just use our phones instead of buy the gopro.  Hey dumbass, our phones will not video tape through our mounts.... I say.  He leads me to the garage puts his phone in the mount backwards and flips the mount to the front.  Hey that will work.  Zack looks at me and said  "Solving 1st world problems" and gives me a wink and walks back inside.

So video will be shot.

This is our basic route around the US. We will be riding on some of the best roads in the US

http://i292.photobucket.com/albums/mm7/wibornz/mapofride.jpg

If you've never been to Yosemite before, it's worth the detour.

It's one of those places that makes you look on in amazement.

Just looked at adding Spearfish Canyon in the Black Hills.  I think this is very doable.  We have 24 days to do the trip and we hope to add nice side jaunts like this Sleazy.

I will try and get a pic of the water fall.

Burnout 3 days 7 hours and 51 minutes to go:burnout:

Definitely add it.  It's a great ride.  When we were out there a few years ago we hit on once on day one out there then three times on day 2.   Lol

We were out the door at four am.  Got the first five hundred miles in an a friendly reminder from a Wisconsin State Trooper that the speed limit is 65.....not 87.  He let us go with a warning.   Stopped off for some cheese.   After all it is Wisconsin.

When you get to Eureka, CA turn left on HWY 299 and hit Weaverville. A small town with an interesting Main St. Then, after topping up, continue west to Douglas City (nothing to see here) and head south on HWY 3 through Hayfork and HWY 36 beyond. West on 36 back to the coast and Fortuna, home of the WCRM and the Eel River Brewery. Sweeping roads, stunning views, big trees and good beer at the end. Total ride time about 6 hours.
