I know that I posted a lot of pics of Glaicer NP, but the place truely took my breath away. I think I could have spent a couple weeks here and will be going back again. It sadden me that Carla was not with me to see the sights in the park. She would have been just as moved as I was. So I round the corner and see this waterfall that is right on the edge of the road and it looks like Zack is riding right into it. We were so luckey that traffic was almost non exsistant so that we could stop and take the pics like we did.
We had to put in some long days on the bike to fit Glaicer NP into the trip, it was worth it. We both said, as we left Glaicer that if we turned around and went home right then, the trip would still be worth it.

I Washington just before we crossed into Oregon, from a bluff, this shot was taken. In the valley was a small town, that was surrounded by fruit groves. The smell riding through the town was amazing. It was such a beautiful sight. The town in the valley, the bridge, the river, and Mt. Rainer in background. Mt. Rainer looks like clouds, but it is not. The shot was taken from a memorial to World War 1.
Soldiers that gave their life for our freedom and saved the world in their day. Bless them for we enjoy our lives because of their sacrifices of blood and pain. They did not grow old and see their children become fine men and women. They did not get to enjoy the many great things that we take for granite everyday. Their families also suffered, by paying the price of our freedom with their sons and daughter. The monument was called Stonehedge.
This is the google view of Stonehedge

Update on the bike...... The entire engine has to be taken apart and parts have to be miked to see what needs to be replaced so that Kaw can decide if they are going to put in new parts or just put in a new motor. When I dropped the bike off, the shop was 10 days out because of work that was already in the shop. I only have one guy that I want to work on the bike, he just left for vacation. I figure that if I get it back by mid-september, I will be lucky. Good thing I still have the 650 ninja and a vino 125 scooter to ride.

I have been around all the great lakes. They all have some spectacular view. They all are beautiful in their own way, but Crater Lake in Oregon takes your breath away.
It was a nice ride up to the lake and it was the first real view of some big trees. I wish that I could have rode all the way around the lake, but the east rim was still snowed in.
The Redwoods moved the soul. Riding through the ancient majestic trees really humbled me and gave me a sense of peace. It was uplifting to see that somethings do endure time. The woods almost seamed magical, if that makes sense?
One of my favorite pics. It was cool out, no traffic all seamed right with the world at that exact moment. It was like riding from the past into the future, you know there is a road to follow, but while the present seam clear as the day, you still have no real idea what life is going to give you around the next corner.

This is the true look of motorcycle exhaustion.
If this is what you look like at 9:00 am at breakfast, it's going to be a loong day on the bike. Of course, we rode 15 hours the day before, slept for 4 hours on the ground, got up at and broke down camp and was riding by about 4:00 am that day.

Those pictures of the Redwoods are fantastic.
I felt the same way when my wife and I rode through Humboldt State Park last summer.

I just got the bike back. It is running great. So here is the story with Kawasaki.
I dropped the bike off on July 25th. In the first week of Sept. Kawasaki authorized fixing the transmission and and beveled gear assembly. Note this will not fix the bike. So I call customer service and have a talk with them. I am nice....very nice. I calmly explain that the bike has been at the shop waiting authorization to fix the bike and that some of the work has been approved, but not all that needs to be done. After about 20 minutes of talking with Kawasaki, the lady on the phone finally admits that waiting 6+ weeks is not reasonable. Ha ha I got her. So why don't you just authorize the bike shop to fix the bike? After all the way it is going, nobody would say that it is reasonable to wait as long as I have. So the authorization to fix the bike got approved. Kawasaki called Groves Motorsports and told them, "Do what ever it takes, fix his bike." So all the parts got in on Thursday and they had my bike back together late Friday. Picked it up today and she is running like a champ.
The cost for warranty work to me was zero. There was over 4,000 dollars worth of parts and labor. While it took a while to get it done. It got done for zero out of the pocket for me. The bike show even gave me new grips where i tore the others one up when I tied the bike down.
So I am back to riding.........

Hum, I would have to try a wheelie to find out. Sounds like a good idea, I will have to try. I am pretty sure that it will wheelie.
Ohell, wack the gas and she is standing up. Just like she always has. I thinks I made it about 200 yards and pulled a little one just to make sure it was put back together right.
