The bike:  2005 Yamaha FJR 1300
The date:  June 22, 2012
The route: http://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=4c474fde2b9673f3d
The ride:  Left KC MO at 242 am 6-22-12.  Arrived KC MO at 850 pm 6-22-12.
Rode via I-70 E to I-64 E to I-270 S to I-55 S to I-40 W to I-540 N/W to US 71 N thence to Kansas City.  Left from home, ended up at home.
Mileage:  GPS measured 1058.8  Bike odometer measured 1076

Glad I did it, got it out of my system.  Proved to myself I could do it as my wife looked on wistfully at the sanity draining out of her husband.  As one ages, one wants to believe one is not necessarily aging in all respects although one has limitless capacity of self-deception.  It was hotter than hell in Arkansas by mid-day and were it not for my Camelback, Gatorade, ice and a stalwart motorcycle, I would not have made it.  God bless Yamaha for making such a bullet proof bike.

I just today mailed my documentation to the IBA central authorities, so now it is to wait.

What Specter said.
It gets easier every time you do it.

You'll be doing a 50cc before you know it.

It has been said here before; after a SS the world gets a bit smaller.
Congrats and welcome to the insanity.  Bigsmile
