I'm leaving in couple of weeks from Chicago to Mt. Rainier; what is the quickest route to get there? Is there a route that can provide some interesting riding?  I was thinking of staying a night at Theodore Roosevelt NP the first night, which is off I-94.

Thanks

Fastest - Hop on 1-90 and open it up.  When you get to Ellensburg WA head south on 1-82 to Yakima, then take US12 / WA 410 to Mt Rainier via Chinook Pass.

If you want to make it interesting, you would take US14 from Sheridan WY to Yellowstone, then 287 to I-90 to Missoula.  From Missoula, take US12 to WA 410 to Mt Rainier.
