I traded my GS for an '09 Heritage Softail on Friday, so far so good. This is HD # 8 for me, I can't seem to stay away from the darn things. Totally fun bike so far

Nothing wrong with a well-ridden Harley. We're not talking about racing here. For on-road, they're damned fine bikes.

this is my hammer. my dad gave it to me. he got it from his dad who got it from his before him. it's been in the family for generations. we've had to replace the handle a few times and the head twice but it priceless because of its family history.

Not at all, the GS was fun but I buy a new bike every couple of years and it was time for a change. The Softie is actually a pretty fun bike. I stiffened up the rear suspension on it and it handles good for what it is. I'm quite happy with it in fact.

It's always nice when someone with an old beater bike bags on someone's new ride...
Enjoy the Softail, they are really nice bikes.

Everything that I've read about the new Guzzis - Stelvio NTX, Norge 8v, Griso 8v - suggests they are quite excellent.
What have you heard?

After only an hour or so on one you'll begin sprouting facial hair and a pipe will spontaneously generate from your lower lip.
You have been warned.
