103 in a 70 clocked. Written up as 79 in a 70 and dismissed with a 4 hour traffic school visit, no points and only court costs for fines. ~$70
He stated he was cutting me a break because I:
a) pulled over promptly instead of running like most seem to do these days.
b) actually had my motorcycle endorsement, proof of insurance, and registration all ready for his verification.
c) had my license plate mounted in the proper location and visible not sideways, horizontal, and tucked behind the tire.
He did not state it but I also think he was expecting a punk kid on a sport bike but when he got to me he found a nearly 40 year old fat man who knew he was busted.

We need to encourage this so they all remain happy when WE pull over.
I've found that keeping the street bike power limit to around 100hp greatly reduces my temptation to crack the ton. And frequent track time on a bike with twice the power that wheelies into 4th gear at 120mph quenches my thirst for 100mph on the street.

Never been pulled over going fast, but I passed a cop doing about 130. Somehow he didn't see me
That was over a year ago. I don't think I've broke 100 since. And rarely break 80 except when passing.

126 in a 55....just about to shift into 4th gear when I saw him....I pulled over immediately about 100 ft in front of his car, he drove down the side of the road. I had my helmet off, license, registration and insurance in hand when he walked up. Because it was 1:45am, no traffic, I was in full leathers, I pulled over, and I admitted guilt he didn't charge me with Wreckless Endangerment and Careless Driving. He did write me up for 68 over which gave me points on my license, day suspension and a $200 fine.
The best part of it all was when I went infront of the judge, he had a brand new corvette z06 parked out in front of his office, and he tore into me because my zzr was capable of 100+ miles per hour... I kept my mouth shut but really wanted to ask him how his z06 runs....?

103 in a 70 in Nevada a few years ago. I have a huge speedo error on my Bird and was using my GPS to hold it under 100. I admitted 95 to 97 and he wrote me for 103 anyway. Good thing he didnt check the back track. I was in the 160s before turning onto hiway 95.He noted it was a basic speed ticket, 33 over. My DMV was (and still is clean) so I wasnt too worried until I talked to my ins. agent. He freaked, said I had to get it reduced or the ins. co. would charge me DUI rates for 10 years. Never mind the courts and DMV.
Called the court, they referred me to the DA. I related my story over the phone, she had me submit it in a letter.Got an offer to plead guilty to having a broken tail light, no points, no moving violation....for an additional 50 bucks of course.
Try pulling that off in California.

102 in a 55.
$525 fine,
lost license for 6 months, had to apply for a work-only restricted license.
Oddly, I really regret stopping. Seriously. I left the cop in the dust and he would Not have caught me had I not done the "right thing".
Oh, that part in the bold print makes my weiner hurt.

Clocked at 114mph on I35W in Minneapolis in 1977 on my Kawasaki Z1000. My second ticket in 3 years so it cost me $80. Yeah, things have changed.

Friend recently got popped for 91 in a 55 on his Gsxr 1000. It cost him $385. I told him that was cheap compared to what he could have been written for.

years ago my riding buddy got nailed for 122 in a 55 -- Backroad straight away on Indiana Street between boulder and Golden at midnight, no traffic...and back then there was ZERO traffic on that road.
Cop was at the top of the hill-- clocked him all the way down the hill across the valley and back up the hill towards him. He flipped on his lights when he was about 3/4 of a mile away and pulled across the road blocking him from passing.
Threw the book at him--
12 point ticket. (suspended license on the spot)-- They hole punch it on the corner.
Excessive display of power
Reckless driving.
Speeding
$800+ ticket
Had to call his friends to pick up the vehicle or it would be impounded, so instead of calling his parents letting them know he was headed to jail he called -- ME--
I called his parents in the morning and let them know to contact a lawyer and where he was.
Bail was set at $500
Lost license for a year.
6 months of weekend trash cleanup
$1000 fine.
But the killer was his insurance....nearly doubled in one ticket and hasn't dropped since.....at its been decades.

Damn conscious huh?
Of course he was conscious... how else could he have been riding the bike?
Fortunately, he had a conscience and chose to pull over.
(Sorry, I'm in asshole mode today)

Hypothetically, someone resembling me was popped for 192 in a 55, on the All-American freeway in Fayetteville, NC.
Racing another guy, on a highly moddified '99 Hayabusa (first one in Fayetteville to get one, if the dealer was right). Bike was being tuned for Maxton Mile.
The fines, attorney costs, and impound fees were more than the cost of the bike. This person was young and stupid (18 actually) with way too much cash, thanks to landing a rather lucrative job... or something...
Oh, that person had to sit 30 days in county, too. And this was the judge being "nice".
13 years later, said person is going on 10 years without a ticket. Knock on wood!!!

Some people on here are luckier, and unluckier than me.
I had a very similar story to one posted, was late for work, my 85 MPH speedo burried.
Cop caught me at PCH and Studebaker (right by work) so all of my co-workers who were just as late as me got to see me ticketed fro 65 in a 40.
Was doing 95 in the middle of nowhere Idaho, got pulled over. Cop says "I could haul you to jail for this" Looking at where we were, and what time it was (2:30 in the afternoon) it would have been a bigger pain in the ass for him than me at that time. He wrote me for 95 in the 65.
In Nevada on Highway 50, had been cruising at 100 since just outside reno. Got pulled over (lonliest road in America my a$$). Cop wrote me for 80 in a 60, but there is also a sopt on there tickets for actual speed clocked, where he wrote 100. I guess that is for the prosecuters and judges if you want to call and whine and try and get it reduced more. Never showed up on my license though.
One time in Arizona, I hooked up with three cars that had flown past me. we did 100 to 120 for quite a few miles. Then we passed a highway patrol sitting under an overpass. We all slowed down, he never followed. BUT a few miles later there was another in the center divider, pulled out after us.
All of the cars slowed down and merged with the traffic in the slow lane, I figued I was caught so I stayed with the fast lane people. Cop found the lead car (after passing all of the rest of us) and pulled over the lead car only. Got lucky on that one.

Never been written up for more than 5 MPH over the limit. 25+ years ago they might have tagged me for whatever an '85 GPz900R might top out at, on a weekly basis, but if any flics were around I never saw 'em.
Nowadays such shenanigans do not play. I've got a business to run and need my license nice and clean.
