I always cringe when I see someone with a brand tattoo.

I have a tattoo that I got when I was 18.  I don't dislike it, but at the same time, I'd probably get rid of it if I had the choice.  It was a good experience as an 18 year old though  Lol

Friend has Ducati tattoos.  Also crashed a rented 1098 after less than 4 miles of riding.  Power to him  - he bought a brand new 1198R so he could ride with us for the next 2 days (since he had no rental bike...!)

Thats very cool - Jerry!

I miss Dead shows.  I listen to Dead Set or Europe 72 almost everytime I cut da lawn.

As for moi, I mix what I love w/ family.  Thus I have all my kids initials on me, mixed w/ what I love & I still love Beemers, though I don't have one currently.  I have the roundel w/ two of my kids initials on top & bottom & below says Motorrad.

They rest are mostly Rugby related Bigsmile

I have a pair of Harley wings on my chest, just about where it would set over my shirt pocket, if it was a clip on for a uniform.  That was from when I thought HD made the best bikes.  Obviously, a long time ago...been thinking about what to change it into, but just not very motivated.  No pictures because the red color has faded and the gold is gone and now it just looks weak.

"Brand" tats are like girlfriends name tats, you like 'em at first then hate it after the breakup. I thought of a Yamaha tat once then came to my senses. It was my first street bike brand. I've owned Honda in the past and a BMW now. Nah, you won't find me with a brand tat of anything.

If you get a tat get something that will forever remind you of something you will always like. Or just forget about tats and you don't have to worry about them later "down the road" when it's no longer relevant or actually embarrassing or upsetting to see it. An 80 year old with a 60 year old marijuana leaf neck tat just screams idiot, for example.

No pic, but I've got a small Grumman C-2A as a portion of another tat.  Also a coat of arms... those are as brand specific as I can get.

Would like something MC related one day - it'll come to me eventually...  on a side note, I saw this on FB the other day:

Well I have to say, that I started tattooing before it was cool or "a fashion" statement! (1981)  anyway,
I would guess I have put close to a hundred H-D tattoos of various renditions on folks over the years. Sorry for no Picts. But I'm kinda old school and respect people's privacy. One that does stand out though, a young guy wanted the Suzuki big "S" on his chest. Like 9-10" tall!!  I said; you Suuuure?? Yep! He was a semi-pro MX rider
Well, he caught a lot of flak  because people thought it was "S" for superman!!!    These  days I talk more folks out of tattoos than I put on!  I sound like a hypocrite but, there are so many "kids" now that are covered with ink that they have no space left for life's ever changing landscape!  I myself have been riding
BMW's for the last 11yrs. Still no brand on me!!    Think before ya ink!!!  Bigsmile
