Ron Haskell, though, has been riding Harley-Davidson bikes for 45 years.
"If you don’t ride a Harley, you don’t ride a motorcycle," he said. "To each their own, but a Harley’s a Harley. There’s nothing like a Harley. They’re the ultimate."

Just proves that we here in Windsor have more than our fair share of moronic pirates. ""If you don't ride a Harley, you don't ride a motorcycle" ?. WTF? I'm surrounded by idiots. I'll bet he puts at least a 1000km per year on his bike.

I've known my share of "Honda Guys" who are just as bad. Scratch that, they're worse because, well, they're Honda guys.

Really?  The Honda guys I know are mousy, engineer types, that look at their shoes while you talk to them.  They are quietly confident in their motorcycle purchase and don't need to tell anyone.

I'm just amazed that in other countries Harley has managed to brainwash so many.  It's not like they can build on the whole patriotism angle up there.  Good for them.

More proof that I'm surrounded by idiots. Windsor has been talking about obnoxiously loud pipes and the pirates are of course up in arms. Check out this logic:

Welll D'UHHH!! Everybody KNOWS you can't raise funds with QUIET motorcycles!
If you don't make a lot of noise, all the twelve year old's won't think you're RAD and they won't contribute their allowances...

He has a point, I've never heard of any charity events that raise money without motorcycles.  And we all know that those don't work without loud pipes.  Air Tight Logic.

I have never really understood Police departments love for Harley's.

I mean if you want to catch somebody, it would be one of the last bikes I grabbed, unless of course I was chasing a Prius.

Meh., even still.  Shrug

That's about it.

They take it out to Stratotech Park for track days.

Oh yes, and Tim Horton hang outs. That is where I pointed out that civilian registered vehicles are not supposed to have red & blue flashing lights on them. (The vehicle is owned and donated by a local bike shop).

The PR guy that used to ride it (I don't know if he still does) was quite a knob. They used it as a tool to lure the young & impressionable into becoming ticket writers.

He would show up there in sneakers & a Tee shirt & jeans as his gear promoting the squid lifestyle. I mean couldn't he have got the shop to throw in some leathers at least?
