I'm not accusing this person of stealing and posting for sale this helmet.  He/she just does not come across as a Shoei owner in the posting (i.e. misspelled Shoei, no size, "like $500".  And who spends $500 on a helmet and then gives up riding?).  I apologize to all of humanity if I've jumped to the wrong conclusion...

Is the front of a Shoe that pulls up called a tongue?

Maybe stolen, maybe just an idiot.  Either way, I won't deal with those kinds of people.

something don't smell right with that add. wrong words used. Never think about someone stealing helmets in HD country, not a hot comodity. but i guess if you research high end helmets you will find some worth stealing.

I was surprised to see a number of high-end buckets being left on/next to bikes at Rockerbox today. I couldn't afford to buy a helmet that nice, but if I could, surely wouldn't leave it unlatched.

Shrug  I don't think I've ever locked a helmet up.  Hook it on the mirror or set it on the seat along with the jacket or suit.  Never had one come up missing yet in the 30 years or so of doing it.

IMO, the ad looks like a typical CL illiterate trying to sell something he knows nothing about.

Shoei Multitec, yes.  I don't usually spend that much on a lid.  More like $350 ish.  Scorpion or HJC are my normal helmet fitment.

Sorry, can't justify getting a used helmet.  Don't want to pick-up anyone else's "problems". Stems from one of the kids coming home from school one winter day yrs. ago w/ a case of head lice. Seems the kids all took turns trying on everyone else's headware... Mad2

I was crazy once and bought a Arai never again ! I knew a few people that had that type of helmet , but I didnt know much about them . I ended up buying it , a rub piece fell off of it the first time out . I called the dealer and he gave me an 800 # for warranty , I ended up finding out the helmet was at least 4 years old never used ( was told it was brand new ) bought it for $575 and was told the helmet was worth $350 .. I will buy something more affordable next time out

I've never had a problem at bike events with like-minded riders. Expensive gear all over the place, nobody bothers anybody's stuff. The way it should be.

It's the mini-markets and gas stations I worry about. I keep a close eye on my gear in the rare event I'm not carrying or wearing it.
