I don't want to hate you, but being so broke... And this coming up for sale... I kinda have to. (sigh)  Sad

Good luck with the sale. Great machines. I still think it's just about the most perfect multi-use bike on the road today.  Thumbsup

Not to threadjack you, but the cowardly lions never would. Especially those on a mission. I swear, there for a while, it seemed like people were setting an alarm to make sure they got their per-hour click in, or something. Really kinda silly. Shrug

Copied and pasted into an e-mail to a non-STNer co-worker who has "the itch." No promises, of course, but the proximity may very well be the enticement he needs!

Thanks, it really is as nice as it looks in the photos, and the mileage is nothing compared to some on the FJR forum.  A number of those guys have over 200 thousand miles on their bikes, one had 235 and there are many over 150 thousand so it should last someone at least another decade.

Alright, I need to move this bike because I found something else.  Behold, the new, lower, no-haggle (hopefully) price of......  4800

Somebody buy this thing! I don't want to have to read about my boyfriend holding up a bank, nor do I want to bail him out of jail.

Wish we had the funds for this. Sad

Tell me all about it. That's officially $150 less than I paid for my C10 4 years ago. Granted the Connie only had 900 miles on the clock, but man, what a deal this is.

I looked at a new FJR at the New York IMS 2 years ago. Stikker price: $15 grand.

Well, the other bike that I was interested in didn't pan out, so let's see if I can make this a little more interesting......
How about a trade, for something such as the following:

Honda TransAlp
Cagiva 650 Elefant
KTM 640 Adventure

or, if already US registered:

Honda Africa Twin
Yamaha 750 Super Tenere
Yamaha XT600 Tenere

Still available and willing to negotiate on maybe the nicest, most original first-gen FJR around.
This bike is completely stock and unmolested, never had a holesaw or Dremel taken to the airbox or mufflers, no Power Commander or any other crap to "enhance" performance, just conscientious maintenance with OEM parts, and fluids where specified (such as the final drive).
