The kids and grandkids left early this morning. Headed back to Dallas. We also had a mild cool front move thru last night that got the low into the upper 60's and a high today just over 90º. I took full advantage by going for a ride. Here's what I saw.

A dam holding back almost no water.

A large wind farm. Yeah I know, kinda weak portrayal. This is the west end of a 20 mile by 5 mile wind farm. All on private land with very limited access. I rode 5 miles of gravel to get this one.

That's it. No omfg moments. Life is very good.  Thumbsup

Oh yeah, there was this 1 moment heading up to Fritch. I passed a DPS trooper going south on 136 while I was traveling north at somewhere around 90 mph. I'm pretty sure the speed limit is either 70 or 75 mph. When I realized who I was facing I let off a little and applied just enough rear brake to get me down to 80.

Ish.  Wink

Early morning, almost no traffic for 40 miles, all geared up or radar wasn't on. Could've been a combination of all those and more. He saluted me and I returned the favor. IMHO the Texas DPS is the best.  Bigok

The closest horse race tracks to me are in Albuquerque and Oklahoma City. Both well over 200 miles one way.  Rolleyes

D'oh - I have one about 25 minutes away. But the only easy way to get to it is on the toll road Sad  Lol
