Hello- I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Dave, I've been riding for 15 years or so.
Currently I have a Honda 919, a Suzuki Boulevard, and a BMW G650GS (wifey's ride).

The Boulevard might (should!) go and I may move onto an ST1300 or an FJR (we'll see what's out there when I pull the trigger).

I have two little ones, so these days I'm limited to shorter rides but I do try to ride few hundred miles a week most of the year. I live North of Baltimore and ride quite a bit of Maryland/PA these days but I have ridden all over the west coast, TX/OK, FL/AL, etc over the years.
I have also been lucky enough to ride in the UK and Australia.

I'm just here to learn and add what I can here and there.

Welcome.

You may want to head over to the new member intro thread for a bigger audience.  Although most of the actual riders are in region 6.  couch

Welcome! CB and I are originally from Baltimore - Essex (CB) and Hamilton off B'lair Road (me) to be specific, hon!  Bigsmile

You might want to check out ESTN and definitely consider joining us for the Spring 2013 Region 6 Meet in West Virginia next May. We (Region 6) usually have a fall camping trip, a Winter Meet in Berkeley Springs, and a few other organized and announced rides throughout the year, as well.

Welcome, nice bike.

If you haven't found it yet, head on over to wristtwisters.com for a LOT of 919 information.

Dave,

Welcome aboard.

I'm from Guilford, CT.  Get down this way much?

I like to ride out around the NE corner, Bolton, Haadam, Killingworth, sometimes out to the "Bean" in Pomfret, Gillette's Castle, etc, etc.

Welcome Dave,
I live right down the road from you in Perry Hall.  My little ones are now riding and have there own little ones but if you ever want to ride i'm close by.  I travel a bit but I love to go out on my little blue Wee Strom and tool around Baltimore, Harford and Cecil County anytime.  I really enjoy getting out past Fredrick but that is a full day ride most of the time.

Welcome Dave,
If you're ever in Lancaster county and want to ride just let me know, there are plenty of great roads in PA.

Welcome Dave,

I too have small kids, good luck getting out on the bike.  Smile I get out once a month for the Christian Sport Bike Association ride up here in Pa, that and I commute to work anytime when it's not raining or freezing. Again, welcome to STN, 99% of these guys are very cool, plus there they have a great deal of knowledge. I hope one day to see you around, keep the shiny side up!

Awesome.

I'm now a 1%'er.

Patch, please.

Hi Dave. Welcome to R6. Lots of active riders in the region. I'd venture to say 100% of the PA riders from here I've met are pretty cool.

Hey all, I'm also new to the forum (and to sport touring). Like Dave, I'm in the Baltimore area and will be looking to gain experience and add miles over the next 3 months or so before winterizing my 2002 VFR800. If anyone ever wants to go for a ride, I'm going to create another thread called "Baltimore area rides" where you can feel free to post up. Sorry for hacking your thread, Dave--i figured that you could benefit from this post as much as I'm hoping to!

Happy riding all! Beerchug
