I could not do it. It's bad enough knowing that it's pretty much a given that these animals will be killed. Maybe that's a huge difference between me + others, but I could not take a sight down a gun barrel and execute a domestic animal, especially one that has loved me and trusted me, one that I've fed, petted, and talked to on a daily basis for a couple months. Couldn't do it. I've killed a lot of livestock when I was younger. Possibly why I feel the way I do now. I feel guilty stomping out a spider when my GF freaks out about it's presence. I will not kill a snake, unless it's venomous and in a populated area where people or a pet might be endangered. |
