The bike is for sale again!
*******************
Well, with the upcoming move, as well as the difficulty of selling a motorcycle in January, I feel that it is better to just put my bike up on the block now
Price...
I need to do some research. Right now my gut tells me that $5,000 is a start and I can work from there.
88,587
Mileage due to change, as I still ride the bike periodically
Located in northern New Jersey
-motor runs great
-clutch and transmission recently rebuilt
-solid ride
-8 gallon adventure tank (dinged and dented, but sound)
-Bitubo shock and springs
-PIAA lights
-Zega rack, panniers, liners (bags are nicely stickered, so you can look cool in the Starbucks parking lot)
-rear brake cover
-solo seat w/passenger seat
-Hepco Becker engine guards
-Hepco Becker leather topcase (this thing is awesome)
-mud guards

The first time I met you was after you did a cross country trip on the bike. Seeing it listed as up for sell is sad.

I followed that bike up the Lost Coast at a WCRM.
We need a STN museum filled with storied mounts such as your GSA, Opus's Viffer, one of Dan's Guzzis, etc.

The more I think about it, the more I don't care if this bike sells. It really is fun to ride, and it'd be nice to arrive in Switzerland with a bike 'ready to go'.
Even if it is the middle of February

Having gotten... ahem... intimate with the innards of this bike, I can vouch for just how solid this machine is. Mechanically speaking, it's ready to go another 85,000 miles.

Have you looked at what they'd want for shipping to Switzerland? Just curious what the cost is.

the above opinion is simply that of an average middle aged hick with one too many brain injuries... or, don't take it too serious.

That's not really the issue. The fact of the matter is that I'd like an excuse to buy a new bike and secondly, the idea of filling the 8 gallon tank with European prices is rather daunting

umm
don't you use the same amount of fuel no matter how many time you have to stop and fill up

Of course!
But mentally it is easier to make two $75 fill ups than standing there one time, watching the pump roll over $150. I may be blonde, but I'm not stupid!
