the above opinion is simply that of an average middle aged hick with one too many brain injuries... or, don't take it too serious.

I won't ride pillion, only because I don't like not being in control. I'd have no problem giving a guy a ride though.

I used to take my mom to church on the bike.

It doesn't bother me to take a man as a passenger.  I get more bothered if the pillion is obese, but even that is not too bad, it just takes more compensation and care.

I've give a ride to a buddy from out of town as we went to pick up his rented Buell.  Another ran out of gas.

I last rode pillion at a track school to take a lap with a pro.  Learned a lot.

Oh, this thread is great! So far I have chortled, lol'd, and blown a snot bubble.

When I had my CBR929RR, I gave my husband rides all the time. He said it wasn't at all bad back there once he got on. The shorty Ventura rack provided a(nother) place for him to put his hands, and I just would remind him occasionally to keep his weight forward and not squirm when we were stopped.

I did give another guy a ride once. His bike (Kawasaki ZX9R I think) had a mechanical issue and wasn't going anywhere. Neither of us had a cell phone, and we weren't too far from civilization. So I gave him a lift. He behaved.

I dislike riding pillion but I've done it out necessity and while I wouldn't let anyone ride pillion on the monster (cause tiny seat that slopped downward) I might on the Multi. Biggest issue for me is that the bike is really tall and with out some tip over protection I'd be kinda afraid of riding it with someone perched up on that high pillion seat.

I don't mind having a guy ride pillion but ridding on the back scares the crap out of me so it'd be a pretty desperate situation for me to do that.
