Well I finally got my bandit all farkled for touring using the suggestions I got here.

let me know what you think.

I added bar risers, bags, and even worked out a backrest.  Now I think I'll be comfortible doing at least 200 mile days.

Well I still have to figure out how to swap it to shaft drive, but it's still lighter than an FJR

You need to move the footpegs and controls forward three feet.

Naw...

Rearsets will really get me in the monkey humping a football that I like.

But highway pegs up front would let me change my position.  Mmmmmm I'll have to think that through.

This is the proper "hands-up" posture for Bandits.

Nice pic of Baby falls. Just got back from The Cherohala on my Bandit we used to do alot of boating up there. I take mostly back roads when I go to N. Georgia or N. Carolina from here so I have not felt the need for much touring accessories but would love the belt drive that I saw on-line or shaft like my last 3 Beemers

What?

There is nothing stupid about Bandits, they are great all round bikes.

Yes that is baby falls, great area for paddling, always a struggle over taking the bike or the boats when I get down that way.
