Doesn't the FJR use H4 bulbs? If so, they should both switch from low to high - and the low/high is handled by the reflector.

Good job, you need patience and small hands to change the bulbs without removing a lot of bodywork.

I recently replaced my stock headlamps with PIAA Night Tech H4. wattage 12V 60/55W. They really made a big difference. Now I'm concerned that they may draw too much juice or weather the stock wiring can handle these. The service rep from the Yamaha who sold these to me said they were OK!!! They are just so much brighter!
Thanks for your replies.

I've tried a bunch of different aftermarket halogens, they all output more light to varying degrees than the stock halogens, however, they ALL fail within 3-4 months. For the price, their just not worth it.

Now my Hella micro-D HID's... Got a moose you want flash fried?

No difference in amps. so no issue there. According to some, they burn out faster.
I have installed GE Nighthawk Platinum in mine a year ago. They give a whiter light output using a partial blue shade. No issue so far.

While you are in the area go ahead and add a extra ground wire to each headlight unit , helps with the ground spider problem.
