Balls of Steel for sure. Made me nervous just looking at the edge in the video.
Nothing against these guys, but I wonder how a GP racer on a GP spec bike would do.
On a seperate note, I've enjoyed watching the semis race up the mountain. Thats also some crazy shiznit.

I don't think a GP bike is the right choice there. The undulations in the road surface would brutalize a rider on a bike with less suspension travel. That, and he's not maxing out top speed on that bike anyway.
I'm all for seeing what Rossi could do (*or Pedro, or whoever) but even then it would take quite a few "laps" to get the circuit down.

Rossi went to the Isle of Man 2-3 years ago (?) and said the riders are insane.
I don't think you could convince any GP guys to do something like Man TT or Pikes. They love their miles long run offs.

I have the highest respect for close course racers. But, real road racers are the bravest riders out there. This video is great, thanks for sharing!

cool vid, thanks! i don't think there is much cross pollination between road racers and GP racers. the GP guys don't have the balls for something like the TT. not sure why the road racers don't succeed in GP. maybe they're too aggressive, or maybe they they trade talent for balls, i dunno.

I think in GP they push until they crash, then back of a tousandth. TT, etc, don't have that option
P.S. where do I sign up!! that would be a blast!!! (pathetically slow, but a blast!)

I would pay big bucks to have someone close off a road that twisty so I could go balls out on it without fear of traffic or debris in the road. WOW.

I do - only got two in this summer, but to do that on a long, twisty road?
:drool:Totally different. I live in Illinois, north of Chicago. I have no roads like that.

There's a cure for that!!!
I hear Durango, CO is a lovely place to live with some OK roads around it. Silver City, NM might be a bit remote, but there's 191 just an hour or less away. Heck, even we here in Abq have NM536 20m from my front door.
