yep, kind of did the same thing , I came to the realization that I like the comfort and ergonomics of a more standard bike with lot's of amenities as well so I bought a NTX and added it to the stable. One word kind of describes this bike "uncompromising"  Smile all my other bikes have their own good qualities but one of them is not long range comfort. I did keep the sprint ST but it has more of a directional purpose now.

you will like the versys, I have a few friends that ride them and a matter of fact one of them set his up for a long haul and took his to the article circle and had a great trip with no issues at all.

I felt the same way, and am selling my Daytona, keeping the Sprint and added an '03 Tuono for the comfort mix.  That bike is like a Versys on steroids.  Good for everything with a better windshield and some bags!

I've had my Versys for 18 months now. Still lovin' it and rarely miss the extra ponies of my 12GS or FZS1000 (amongst others). Hopefully I'll be doing some more touring over to Europe next year plus more local trips too. Although I'll be drooling over the latest new releases in November at the M/C show, I honestly don't think I can justify spending another serious amount of £££'s just to have the latest or greatest as the Versys is so, well, versatile.
