Can y'all recommend some insurance options?  We moved to Texas this year from NC and were hit with a 100% increase in our premiums. I'm looking at other companies right now for my motorcycle insurance. What are some companies I should check out?

motorcycle insurance prices can vary greatly depending on where you live.

check out whatever company has your homeowner insurance first as they may surprise you.

Then start checking around with an independent agent.

I had Dairyland for a while then switched to Progressive.

Dairyland is $300 a year for full coverage for me on my 03 FJR. It was $350 when new and compared to $1600 a year for the same coverage via Progressive.

Yeah, just checked Dairyland for an 03 Sprint ST. $89 a year for liability only. Nationwide, which we've used for home and auto for years, quoted me $360 for liability only. Unless there is a better option, looks like I'll be going with Dairyland.

I pay less than $500 a year for full coverage with like 5k extras coverage on my 2010 Concours with Progressive.  I think there are factors involved in those tables that involve random stuff, sometimes.

I had Dairyland for many years but when I bought the FJR I had to go to Progressive because Dairlyland was so high.

If you can add the bike to your homeowners insurance that seems to be the best rate.
