Anyone know of a good independent Ducati mechanic NEAR BALTIMORE?

I like Battley's in Rockville, but between drop off and pick up, it's like a whole day worth of travel.  If there was someone in or around Baltimore, that would be much better.

No need to mention Speed's Cycle.  Not really an option--no need to go further with that.

I'd like to use an Independent, but if nothing comes up, I guess Battley's is my next best option.

I haven't found an independent - though I haven't really looked: I've bought nearly/all the tools I need to fix and maintain my bike. if it's big enough I can't handle it (valve guide, tank replacement), I just suck it up and go to Battley's. I'm doing tires next week, and sometime next month I'll tear it down for another valve check, oil/filter, air filter, fluids, TB sync, brake pads, etc. Having torn the heads off to get the valve guide replaced last year, I'm no longer worried about minor surgery (even though I learned some lessons).

You and I are in the same boat.  I'm happy with doing my own work on the Multistrada, but I'm a little leery of doing the valves on the 996.  That's the bike that needs a good mechanic.  There's a guy in Lancaster who has a good rep, but I checked.  Battley's is like 30 minutes closer than Lancaster.  Oh well...

Go to Ducpond in Winchester, Donnie is a really good guy and has a great rep in the Duc world, although not really close to Balto

I'd stop less than halfway to Duc pond and deal with Battley's... Having been to both, I'd go to Battley's even with the same drive, and probably go further for them. Not going to publicly down Duc Pond (cool brick and mortar store) but will not be back regardless of the distance..
