D&D slip on mufflers installed on my Harley XR1200 (video with sound comparison)

For any interested...
Short answer: They sound GOOOOOD. Not obnoxious or blatty, not overly loud, but about a 5 on a scale of 10 noise wise and a very deep bass rumble and a tasty roar when you rev it. Mucho diggo.
Interesting that on camera the OEMs sound pretty good. The camera doesn't capture the effect... you mostly hear valves and airbox with the OEMs (though it does sound better than some stock Harleys I've ridden). At lower speeds and without helmet/ear protection I might be able to live with the OEMs. But they need a bit more meat.
The headers only are RIDICULOUS and awesome. Camera doesn't convey just how loud it was in there, of course. I tried to narrate but I'd have had to yell and it would have been unintelligible.
It was fun, though.
The D&Ds immediately sounded good to me. Lots of deep thump that's pleasing to the ear. Plus they look good, IMO.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who, when replacing an exhaust, cannot resist the urge to start it up without one and then proceed to laugh like an idiot after rapping on it a few times.
The D&D sounds GREAT! My subwoofer was belting out a rather wonderful v-twin rumble.
When you rev it it actually sounds less like a Harley and more like Triumphs 270deg parallel twin.
Great sound!

It sounds nice
My beef w/ peeps complaining about loud Harleys is that they have no issue running Yoshis on their Suzukis, Termis on their Ducs etc etc.

Well, to be fair to the Suzuki and Ducati riders, most of the loud Harleys I see out on the road have NO MUFFLERS whatsoever. Just straight drag pipes, or those turndowns that the 20 foot long chopper crowd favours.
Those things will make your ears bleed, and are louder than ANYTHING ELSE on the road. Period.

On the contrary...
I hate all loud exhausts, from bikes to diesel trucks with their "jet aircraft" exhausts, to weedeaters, street rods, etc.
In fact, I will stand 100% corrected on my choice of using the word Harley, and will change my original post.
Cheers!

Accepted.
And I freakin' hate the loud weedeaters/leaf blowers!
And now back on topic. That XR1200 is a sweet bike!

Cool!
My neighbor's gardeners run thier weedeaters and blowers for 1.5 hours every tuesday. I work from home, and am developing a regular nervous tic in my right eye every Tuesday morning.
On Topic: Agree on the XR1200. That is the HD I would buy first; with the right farkles it's a very versatile bike from track days to sport touring. So big fan of the bike, but sorry, not a fan of the exhaust.
