I am looking at 2009-2011 speedmaster. the cruiser type. does anyone have any experience with these.
i have a 05 fz1 and this will be my 2nd bike .

i have only seen them twice and once in a dealership. my wife who used to ride 5 yrs ago is absolutely in love with one.
she even went as far to say if i get this as my 2nd bike she might get back to riding when the kids start kindergarden.

that sealed the deal ..it will be great to have her back.funny when she was on her virago and me on my fz1 i would try to avoid riding with her
as her bike tops at 55 mph......after 5 yrs i think i was real dumb, she was  a great riding partner and kept me sane.

if i love the cruiser thing i might get a thunderbird to replace the fz1....

I always liked the look of the Speedmaster. I demo'd them several times. Seems like a nice bike for relaxed, solo rides in the country. Wished for more power, but that's the sport guy in me.

I had a 2011 for a year. Its a fine cruiser. Power is modest but balanced and the bike actually handles pretty well too. I would recommend the floorboards as it really opens up the options for what to do with your feet.

If it was a second bike, I would still have it. I have room for one bike in my garage of life and its currently the Street Triple R.

You should ride one and see what you think. As for looks, its awesome and you don't see one every time you turn around. Always got compliments.
