With the long, lingering summer weather of late (here in the Koots) it is likely bad Ju Ju to even mention Fall. But since it is inevitable I thought a thread to capture the season might well be in order.  I rode out Sunday to the Paulson, Strawberry and Bombi passes looking for signs of the Tamarack's changing colour - but it is a bit early. Some cooler nights this week are seeing some quick changes down here in the valley and I am thinking by next weekend it will be time to grab the camera and hit the high country for a ride.  Cool

So if you have em, post some pics of the glorious colours of fall in your area and maybe squeeze your bike in for good measure and St.n content. And remember to embrace what you cannot change !  Lol

One from last year ...

Late summer here is still hanging on! The leaves have just started to turn. Not even wearing a sweater yet!
I'm gonna cheat too. Here is one from way back in 2007, but same date.

There is a video of this somewhere... Perfect day... If the weather keeps up, I should get another shot at it!

YOu know that's not true.

We had the fall colors for a week,  then a windy day blew enough sand to rip any nice colours to shreds.

We're now in the BROWN season Sad and will be for another month or two..

Still warm here as well and very little in the way of fall colour. I rode over to Creston yesterday via Kootenay Pass hoping the altitude would have triggered some colours but alas, it is still looking like mid September.

15c on the pass yesterday and nearly 20 in Sallmo down in the valley. I think I will head out to Grand Forks today for some lunch ...

Last weekend for me. I hope to get out Saturday. Sunday, snow overnight is forecast.

But I should be skiing this year for the first time in 3 years ! Yeah ! No more waving a damp hanky as the family heads off to the slopes.  Lol

Gosh that FJR makes the Triumph look small.

I have 2008/9 Daytona 955 lust these days. Pretty bad too. There is one in Portland and one in Seattle that are just stunning.

$3500 and 6000 miles ... OMG  OMGOMGOMG
