2013 - 6th Annual ST.N Region Six Winter Meet

Here’s the information regarding the 5th Annual STN Winter Meet.

When: January 4th – 6th,  2013

Where: Cacapon Resort State Park http://www.cacaponresort.com/




Make your reservations buy calling 1-800-CALL-WVA (225-5982) or 304-258-1022.

When you call to book your room be sure to tell them you are booking one of the rooms held under the block "STN Winter Meet".  Rates are $67.00 for a Mountain View rooms overlooking the front parking lot.  The rooms are either queen/twin or two doubles.

This was actually the only weekend they had availability for this year, however, we were early last year and had close to 70° temps.  The lodge has a 48 hour cancellation policy so if it looks like the mother of all snowstorms is coming you can always bail-out when the time comes.

For those of you that have not been to Cacapon before, they have a restaurant on-site that isn’t half bad.  There is also a large “lodge like” room to just hang out, watch TV, tell lies, etc.

Remember, book early, book often.

Count me in for three if I can afford it. My brother and Liz and I. That's a few hours' ride, so even if I don't stay over night, I can come down for the day ride and dinner.

It should be noted that the lodge will only hold the 10 rooms reserved in this block for the next 10 days, so like CB said, "Book early, book often." First night's lodging deposit (totals $73.70) is required at time of booking, but is refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours prior to check-in.

I missed my first winter meet last year and it was damn near 70 degrees!

CB is the only ST.N member left with perfect attendance..  

So that means if I'm going this year we can counts on snow again.

If you have thought about coming in years past but didn't make it for one excuse ah I mean reason or another, we really have a great time at Cacapon.  Come out and help us keep the scrap bookers and jigsaw puzzlers at bay..  

Looking forward to the "coolest" meet of the year.... Literally.

I am in for the winter meet this year, but I am staying over Sat night only.  I need to save my vacation days for later.  I plan to leave really early and hopefully meet you some place along your route.
