I will be in Memphis tonight near Beale St and am looking for a good place for BBQ.

Your help is appreciated.

Toss a stone towards downtown.  You can't miss scoring a direct hit.   Lol  Seriously, Neely's, Corky's, Tops and many others.

Look up County while you're down there.  Thumbsup

County and an R6 rider for memphis BBQ? That'd be worth a pic.

If you're into dry rub, yes. I prefer it wet and sloppy, so we only went to Rendezvous when visitors came and wanted to see the famous place. On Beale St., my favorite was Blues City Cafe. Their ribs just melted in your mouth. Never tried Neely's, but the other ones mentioned by sleazy rider are also excellent, I just thought Blues City Cafe was excellent-er.

The caveat: I moved away from Memphis in '98.

I have to pipe in with Interstate BBQ, which is off I-55.

I never did like the Rendezvous too much, the ribs always seemed too dry to me. Corkey's was my favorite in the 90s, but their restaurant burned down so many times and quality would vary one month to the next.

Rendevous was just ok. Nothing great. The riibs had some dry spots and did not fall off of the bone.

But I did get a list of other places when I come back to town.

Thanks for your input.

Round two starting now. Will be trying a few different places. I will have a partner in crime with me so it won't be just my stick in the mud opinion.

I used to live in Millington back in 89 when I was going to school in the Navy.
