Someone finally came up with an ecu hack to add electronic cruise control. I like to have it, but not that much$$...

Three different packages, starting at $400.00 for cruise. Seems pretty reasonable to me
. Although, I agree with the OP, this bike and that price, it should come with it from the factory.

I didn't see it was even an option, my bad.
Well then, looks the they've created the ultimate motorcycle if you ask me.
Anyone know what MSRP will be?

No, I was talking about the Tuneboy software. Their cruise package starts at $400 and goes up from there. Is it a factory option?

OK, so no factory cruise. Hardly a deal breaker, but why the hell not on a ride by wire bike and more electronics than the space shuttle?

Couldn't agree more. At this point it's not her more than lines of code. Considering all the lines of code written for the traction control, abs, suspension, fueling, etc, etc, seems like the hard parts have already been written...
Oh well, as soon as someone convinces the Italians that it is their idea it will happen....

Yeah dude, like BMW's are superior in every way with their funky front ends and factory cruise control, not to mention just as unreliable as any Ducati if not more so.

I didn't say that. I don't really like fucking BMW's either. If there was another bike on the market that had what the BMW has for MY touring needs believe me I would've bought it. If the new Trophy would've been out in November of '12 I'd own it. I looked at Multistradas before I bought the GT but for a few grand more I got everything I wanted. I've never thought that Ducati or BMW had much to offer. The only reason I bought the Super Sport was based on looks & sound. Other than that I never liked them before & I probably never will. I thought the Multi I rode was fun, comfy & handled well but in the end it wasn't for me. Maybe it's for you. Luckily for everyone they make more than one motorcycle. I'm sorry you can't take a joke & I offended you. Obviously. That was just my opinion. Fuck Ducati though.

Ducati probably cares very little about putting cruise on their bikes, except maybe the cruiser they sell. Personally. I have never wanted cruise control on anything I've ridden, especially my Duc.

Cruise Control is great for interstate travel. I avoid intersate whenever possible. My Multistrada has 39,800 miles on it (yes just 200 from another service $) but of those 29,800 miles, I'll bet that less than 1000 miles are interstate. Of course I live in one of the best riding areas in the country so I don't need to slab it in order to get to good riding.

Adding cruise control is easy, and a no-brainer for the MTS1200. It'll be added in a year or two as a 'refresher' offering in a year with minimal changes (just like what they did with the suspension this year).

I wouldn't bet on it, cruise was supposed to be added to
this
update. They are either being stubborn or have something REALLY big planned for the next gen. Something that will make everyone want to upgrade and cruise will be just a bonus.

Please report back your experience. Still might be interested, but from my brief scanning of the uber-long thread over on Ducati.ms, it sounded like just getting the cc would throw out Ducati's last ecu update, and you sorta have to rebuild you own or some-such. Mine's all stock, and I was actually quite happy with Ducati's fix for the low rev stumbling and occasion stalls that they finally came up with 1 year plus into ownership...
