Ugh. Hipster BBQ joint. I don't think that they'll even let you in unless you are wearing a silly hat and are carrying an old 35mm film camera. You want Q? Make the short drive to Lockhart and get some Q at Blacks or Kruez. No affectations. No forks. No sauce. Just Texas Q on butcher paper. I'd be happy to lead the caravan.  Smile

Getting hungry already.  I'm in (flights, room, rental car booked).  NearlySeventy (Dave) is in as well.  After 5 years attending Indy it will be nice to see a track with elevation changes  Thumbsup

WHAT?!?! Reservation cancelled now...  Bigsmile

No sauce? Yeah, the Texas BBQ. Don't they know North Carolina BBQ is the best? Hmm, I have no problems trying it though!

Oh I loves me some Carolina (eastern and western style) Q and Memphis Q, too. I pretty much like ANY kind of Q and cook a bunch of different styles in the back yard. Baltimore Pit Beef is a big favorite and so is Cali tri-tip.

Heck, if you guys are up for it we can hit another Q joint not to far out of Austin where they actually sauce the meat while cooking it over fire instead of smoking it in a pit. I mean, there are 3 meals a day, right?  Bigsmile

I'm ashamed to admit I didn't discover BBQ until just this summer at Indy MotoGP.  So far just limited to pulled pork, but I'm in love!

But your in NJ correct?, you have Deli that I'd gladly trade for some pulled pork for. What we have here in N.E. Tennessee is lots of good riding, lots of BBQ, but no good Deli. I'm originally from N.J. and the only thing I miss is the Pizza, Bread, and Deli.

While I'll look for tasty pulled pork Q here in the Carolinas, I'll be on the hunt for succulent brisket in Texas.

Funny - I'm originally from NY, and the things I miss here in NJ are pizza, bread and deli.  Lol

And bagels.

I spent a lot of time in NJ in the 80's and even lived in NJ from 86-90 - Lambertville/Frenchtown - and worked in Princeton and then way the heck up in Mahwah. There is no deli in Texas...decent bagels can be had but deli? Nope. We have a couple of New York pizza places within 2 miles of our house (all the principals are from New Yawk) and a better than decent cheesesteak place (owner is from Philly - sells Tastycakes, too!) about 20 minutes from the house so it's not all bad...but dammit I do miss a good deli.  Drool

Reserved ticket for Section 15 purchased, reserved MC parking only purchased. Staying at brother in laws place, maybe a group lease of his "castle" in Hutto working.

Also going to Rolex races in March.
