Quick release kit for ducati ST

Hey All...
I heard a rumor that there is a quick release kit available for the Ducati ST (I have a 2000 ST2). I googled, but just got a bunch of sites selling Dzus fasteners. It seems there was some different bracketry in the kit. Am I just hearing voices in my head, or does such a thing exist. I've heard horror stories about disassembling the fairing, and anything I can do to ease the process would be welcome.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get this kit.
I have it on my bike and regret it. It fits terribly, as if it was made for a different bike. Nothing lines up correctly and you have to cut off tabs from the fairing to make it work. Cutting off those tabs means you cannot go back.
I wish I never got it. Yeah the older way was a pain, but only in time. If you're not in a rush, it's not a big deal and everything fits correctly. The kit blows.
I mentioned this on the yahoo Duc ST group, and almost everyone else who used it had the same experience.
You have been warned.
