She is still telling everyone she meets how much fun she had.
It was the longest ride she has even been on.
Longest single day and longest three.
She is definatly a keeper.

That's the same reason I bought the Leadwing a year ago. I've always considered it a 2-up motorcycle. The few times I would ride it by myself, I kept thinking I should stop and give someone a lift.

I think 'a step to the dark side' really involves buying a Harley.
If you like, I can be an authority on the subject.
Anyway, congrats on the bike. You stole it for sure.

Nothing wrong with that bike. The V4 is based off the V-Max.
Besides, "Sport" takes a backseat to having a pair of Bewbies pressed into your back!

If you say so. I don't get why everyone gets down on various bikes. I say use the tool that's best for the job. Surprisingly, gosh, a sport bike with enough room for a toothbrush is often not the right tool.
+1
When we were in our yoot the wife didn't mind 2 or 3-day trips on the back of a Ninja, but now that I'm creeping into dotage a nice baggy bike seems like a good idea if I want to ride 2-up for anything more than a 2 hour trip. A V-Star or a Harley polysyllabic something or other might do the trick.

Don't feel bad about having it (yeah I know you already don't) . My best friend got a Harley last year , since he is an experience racer , it was all I could do to keep up with him on my 99 Concours while he tooled his Road King down the twisty coastal roads here in Wa .That old dude can ride !

So you're suggesting it's the rider, not the bike. Hmmm.... Interesting theory.

I swear I've heard something like this before, if only I could remember where...

I think we should investigate this phenomenon.

As far as the seat goes, it's been my experience that Mustang seems to make the best cruiser seats. I've tried more than my share and kept coming back to Mustang on each cruiser I owned.

Hold on here.... I always owned a motorcyle to escape from my loved one.
Then you're doing it wrong.
Solo rides are OK, but I love having my wife ride with me. Trouble is, with family commitments we have so little time to do so...

Ride solo when you're in the mood to ride solo.
Ride 2-up when you're in the mood to ride 2-up.
Group ride when you're in the mood to group ride.
Ride with people who are of the same mindset.
Doing any of them when you're in the mood to do something else will diminish the ride.

The car tire thing is only called 'the dark side' by people who for whatever reason aren't willing to call it what it is...the stupefyingly ignorant, utterly ridiculous side. I'd go with 'dark side' for the OP's new ride
Wana have some fun?
Go to
www.fjrforum.com
there's a 165 page thread there (yes 165 pages) about CT's on the rear of FJR's.
Many of them tried to convnce me they handle just as good as a cycle tire, they just handle "different" they say!
They reemed me good when I critisized their reasoning. I even posted a article from tire manufacturer engineers about why it's a bad idea to put a car ture on the back of a motorcycle.
"Enginneers and designers don't know shit about real world experience" they said.
A lot of Gold Wing riders do the CT thing too.
