Holy crap!  They sure updated - this CB1000, (3) new 500cc models including a "X" model, and a new Goldwing cruiser.

Here is the CB1000.  Looks like we may get an ABS option, too - http://powersports.honda.com/2013/cb1100.aspx

CB1000 will be $9,999, per MD.

http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2012/11/finally-coming-to-america-2013-honda-cb1100-priced-at-9999/

Also linked, MD's feature on the 500's -

My favorite is the new CB500X.  Nice job, Honda.

But who's going to buy one? The naked market is all but non-existent here in the U.S. for non-cruiser bikes. Kawasaki tried this already and they sold like 10 of the things. Don't get me wrong, I think they will sell twice of many of these than they do of that GoldWing bagger. Which means 10 vs 5.

...a Japanese manufacturer might take the motor, castrate it to about 110 hp and stick it in a cheaper, heavier chassis with low-spec suspension and brakes and slice an ‘R’ or two off the name. That’s not how Aprilia roll

I've been thinking of downsizing for a while now. These 500s are going to get serious consideration.  Thumbsup

There were some spy shots circulating on the web and I figured the US would get maybe one variant but all 3 models........ never in a million years.   Makes sense, everyone has had to add 'value' to their products these days to get sales.   Those 500's are priced right and look great.

CB500F for $5,500.  Bigok  ABS for only 500 more.

I like the X better - not that I'll buy one - but still - what a lineup!  I'm wondering what the HP will be as compared to the 700X... and the PRICE.  It's 40 lbs lighter than the 700...

That 1100 looks pretty good too!  Can't say I'm looking for a naked bike though.  Especially with a 5-speed and less than 4 gallons in the tank...

According to hellforleather, the 500s make 47 hp/31 lb-ft.
