After a tough battle that was, at times, more exciting than the action on the track, we can now announce the new World Champion in the race for the Highly Coveted STN: EOE MotoGP Fantasy Racing Cup Which Actually Isn't A Cup!

R Doug directed his Blue Flagged team to what was eventually a dominant victory in the STN League. He also finished an impressive 17th in the overall Motorcycle USA standings (which, by the way, marks the first time we didn't crack the top ten in both WSBK and MotoGP -- just sayin'.  It's a tough crowd.). I'll get the trophy in the mail when I get home next week.

The battle for the other two podium spots was brutal with several teams in contention, swapping places continuously through the last several races. Eventually, the champagne went to denydog (2nd place: Team Viertakt) and defending champion Motodog (3rd place: Burnt Toast Racing).

Congrats to all competitors! Let's do it again next year.

Congrats Doug!  Bigok

Big thanks to Ed for putting this together.  I really enjoyed it. Had some beginners luck for a bit but really glad I did the league.  Thumbsup

Let me add my thanks to the STN:EOE Commissioner of Racing for organizing the leagues.

Next year, I'll try not to repeat the rookie mistake of my eyes popping open at midnight with the sudden realization, "Shit! They're racing in Motegi right about now and I didn't make my picks!"  Lol

I saved the box so I can forward this to next year's winner.  Where would I order a new plate for 2013?  Personally, I hope it stays here for one more year.   Bigsmile

Ah, hell no. Winners keep their trophies. We'll come up with something else for next year.

These were nicer than the ones from the first couple of seasons. I felt rich for a week after selling the old house. Lol

They've all been better than my original plan, though, which was to pick up used bowling trophies from Goodwill and have new plates engraved. That's kind of my sense of humor but it doesn't make everyone laugh. Lol
