Cool. It'd be nice to see KTM eventually field a WSBK effort, but that takes a whole lot more coin than traveling around the USA. I wish them (and EBR) continued success in 2013. Variety is good.

Good to see Taylor Knapp get a break. Hopefully we'll see a similar effect as to what we saw with EBR last season when Eslick came on board and May started to up his game (not to mention the development curve). When I interviewed Schwantz at the ATL IMS he made mention of Blake Young maybe needing a faster teammate than he had in 2012 to push him from within the team like Tommy Hayden did...

But, shouldn't chasing another competitor's butt be enough motivation to improve oneself and bike? At that level, relying on a teammate to push you shouldn't even be in the equation .. I mean, really?!!

Yeah, really (at least in some cases). I guess we might see in 2013 if the rumor that Martin Cardenas has signed a letter of intent with Yoshimura plays out... But don't go on what Kevin Schwantz says. I mean really, what does he know about the sport anyway  Rolleyes

Sorry, my comment wasn't a stab at Schwantz..he's one of my all time great heroes, but more of a comment that a rider of Blake Young's caliber shouldn't be needing a fast or faster teammate in order to stay motivated..  I guess  Shrug

Btw, I am looking forward to seeing how well Taylor Knapp will go on the KTM  Thumbsup

I took his comment as saying that Young's issue is mental. Josh Hayes has said he has seen Blake do some amazing things during some of their battles. If he ever gets the between the ears part figured out he'll be hard to beat...

+1 on Knapp on the KTM...
